I'm glad you liked Card Turner! It's interesting that the author read the audio book. Sometimes that works well, and sometimes it doesn't, so I'm glad it worked on this one!

The foghorn must be a funny addition. In the printed book, the "bridge gibberish" parts were in rectangles with thick, black borders so they were easy to distinguish. I had never played bridge before, so I definitely wouldn't have been able to follow the games at all if I was trying to listen to it first. It helped me to be able to re-read parts until I understood what was going on.
