1) What author do you own the most books by?
Probably L.M. Montgomery, although I think Tamora Pierce would be a close second.

2) What book do you own the most copies of?
The Bible. I think that's the only book I have more than one copy of.

3) Did it bother you that both those questions ended with prepositions?
Meh, I didn't even notice until asked this question.

4) What fictional character are you secretly in love with?
As a child: Robin Hood from Disney's version.

Don't think I've had a literary crush since then. Not any that have been memorable enough for me to remember anyway.

5) What book have you read the most times in your life?
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe I think.

6) What was your favorite book when you were ten years old?
Hmmm... I was in New Zealand most of my 10th year, so a safe bet would be one of the (few) Danish books I brought with me there... probably The Little House series.

7) What is the worst book you've read in the past year?
Do I have to have finished it? My Legendary Girlfriend was so incredibly boring and painful to read that I couldn't force myself to read it, even though it was for a book club. I read the first 200 pages and then skimmed the rest. Blargh.

8) What is the best book you've read in the past year?
Not counting rereads: The Yada Yada Prayer Group series, The Woman in White, The Host.

9) If you could force everyone to read one book, what would it be?
Aside from the Bible you mean? Probably The Woman in White.

10) Who deserves to win the next Nobel Prize for literature?
Somebody whose books I've actually read!!! Really, why do they tend to pick such obscure authors. Shouldn't they pick somebody people actually know of?

11) What book would you most like to see made into a movie?
How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls by Zoey Dean. It'd be the new "Clueless" and absolutely hilarious!

12) What book would you least like to see made into a movie?
That's hard to answer. If it's done WELL I wouldn't mind seeing any book turned into a movie, but some of the adaptions are so utterly atrocious that it's an insult to both the author and fans of the book. I think Outlander is the book I'd be the most afraid they couldn't do justice to.

14) What is the most lowbrow book you've read as an adult?
Anatomy of a Boyfriend. I really wish I'd never read that one. It made me feel filthy to know that such crap was aimed at teens :(

15) What is the most difficult book you've ever read?
A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. 1400 pages of a very interesting plot mixed with too many hundreds of pages filled with boring politics. It was worth it though and a definite satisfaction to be able to say I've read it.

16) Do you prefer the French or the Russians?
I haven't read enough by either to say.

17) Umberto Eco?
I tried reading The Name of the Rose because I heard it was supposed to be one of the best crime books ever written. I gave up about half way through. Brilliant it may be, but it's BORING as anything!

18) Roth or Updike?
Can't remember having read anything by either.

19) David Sedaris or Dave Eggers?
Never heard of them.

20) Shakespeare, Milton, or Chaucer?
Since Shakespeare is the only one I've read, I guess I'd have to say him. Have never been too impressed by his works though.

21) Austen or Eliot?
Hands down Austen.

22) What is the biggest or most embarrassing gap in your reading?
The lack of diversity in author nationalities. Most books I read are by either Danish or English speaking authors. The number of books I've read in a language originally not one of those is embarrassingly low. I'd like to branch out more in that respect.

23) What is your favorite novel?
I've yet to meet the dedicated reader who can truthfully answer that question with just one book. If you want to prove me wrong, here's your chance ;)

24) Play?
An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde

25) Short story?
Something by L.M. Montgomery. She's just about the only author whose short stories I can stomach.

26) Work of non-fiction?
Other than the Bible, you mean? Probably the first volume of the selected journals of L.M. Montgomery. At least that's the work of non-fiction I've read the most often. Do You Think I'm Beautiful? is excellent, but I've only read it once.

27) Who is your favorite writer?
See my answer to question 23.

28) Who is the most overrated writer alive today?
Neil Gaiman. Granted, I've only ever read two of his books, so I may just have been unfortunate, but I can't say I care much for his writing style. Yet everybody seems to rave about him. Never understood that.

29) What is your desert island book?
The Bible

30) And ... what are you reading right now?
The Innocent Mage by Karen Miller and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis.
