The end?

I'm thinking of closing down this community, or at least just ignoring it from here.  I think anyone who posts in it is already on my friends list, and so maybe it has run its course. It would be nice to not have to post my lists to a second place, too.

Does anyone object or have thoughts? Should I just leave it up or delete it? My reason for deleting would just be to completely get it off my plate, but I suppose it doesn't matter much if I leave it. I don't know.

I can't recall every getting any interaction on anything I posted in this group, and only maybe twice commented on someone else's post. Sharing my monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly reads was one thing that slipped through the cracks with various life changes. If I resume, I'm fine with it just being in my own journal.

I do not regularly read it, but do regularly see it, and have repeatedly listed it for Follow Friday. In that regard, I find it valuable, because it's a very different community than the circles I run in -- variety is good. If you leave it up, especially set so anyone can join and post, then it's still usable. Maybe someone else will want to take over, then you could hand if off if you want. But once it's gone, it's gone, and that's a lot of work to erase. You don't have to pay attention to it if you're done.

*ponder* You might put a pitch over on followfriday if you're looking for someone to take it off your plate. Folks there have probably seen it in the lists and may know someone who'd be interested in keeping the comm alive.

I enjoy reading other people's posts here - even if I don't comment much. I guess I could just go and add everybody to my friends list though so I could still see their lists, if they wouldn't mind it :-P

I read it…though I don’t comment. I like the recommendations and what I want to read, I take them to Libby and my Kindle. I’d be delighted to receive a FR to keep seeing your posts, but I don’t want to be presumptuous. I don’t post much here, though I want to do better about it.
