Hey, everyone! Question for you.

So, I'm really wanting to find some Christian literature that does not include someone marrying or becoming the significant other of someone else. I'm an avid reader, but have made a habit of making wide circles far away from the Christian section because.... they are all invariably about someone getting married, unless it's for a young audience. I tend to put a wide circle around *any* book that this is a central theme, but I've found Christian lit to be the most likely for this, and most difficult to avoid. I'd love to have some suggestions otherwise! Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you like it when people retell stories from the Bible, but Francine Rivers writes a lot of books like that. I read some from the Lineage of Grace (http://francinerivers.com/books/series/lineage-grace) series about some of the women in the Bible who led up to Jesus. Some do have a love story involved (like Ruth, of course), some do not. I haven't read a ton of that type, but I know some people really love them. I hear good things about the Mark of the Lion series, but I think I started it and it was so violent! I'm sensitive to that stuff.
