Book of the Month(s)

Okay, I know I'm a bit early for this, but I'm curious... those of you who are as geeky as me and keep monthly booklists, what were your Book of the Month(s)?

I know you can't really do December yet, so perhaps instead which book you're most looking forward to read over the Christmas break?

Here are mine :)
January: A Mango-Shaped Space by Wendy Mass - a fascinating book about synesthesia.

February: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. A YA fantasy along much the same lines as Twilight. I loved it!

March: Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. Loved the original retelling of Sleeping Beauty.

April: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. Extremely sweet and charming book.

May: The Giver by Lois Lowry. Actually, unless I read something really spectacular in December, this wins the prize of being the best book I've read all year. It blew me away.

June: The Sweetgum Ladies Knit for Love by Beth Pattillo. Just cozy with almost a Mitford-like atmosphere.

July: The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I thought it was sweet :) And to my great surprise it made me want to knit!

August: Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb. The last book in the trilogy, and the one where everything got properly tied up. The entire series was great, but this definitely the best.

September: Secret of the Sirens by Julie Golding. A fun YA fantasy.

October: The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers. Absolutely brilliant!

November: The Sweetgum Knit Lit Society by Beth Pattillo. Just a nice, cozy tale.

December: Looking forward to reading An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon. I received it for my birthday, but it's so long, that I doubt I'll have time for it before then.
