Genre

I've come to the conclusion that my favorite book genre has to be post-apocalyptic. I don't know why, but I'm totally drawn to stories that revolve around some huge catastrophe that changes the way that people live, what they value, what they believe to be true, how society and government is structured, what types of technology are available, etc. I just get so easily wrapped up in it.

I've always thought that post-apocalyptic and dystopian were two different words for the same thing! What's the difference between the two?

Ah, that makes sense. I guess most of my favourites are a little of both then :)

I don't know if it's my favourite (I like fantasy too much), but I'm definitely hooked on that genre as well. Some of my favourite books are The Giver - Lois Lowry, Matched - Ally Condie, The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins, Gone - Michael Grant and Dark Life - Kat Falls.
